Over the winter months of 2016 there has been a species confirmed to habitat on the Park.
The smooth or common newt (Lissotriton vulgaris) is a fresh water amphibian. Found along Longwater Avenue this species shows evidence of breeding which is very exciting and reflects on the hard work put in by the Landscaping team to increase biodiversity. The common newt live in lowland damp meadows, field edges, gardens and eat insects.
If seen around the park, please feel free to take photos and send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
