Sunday 17 May saw over 3,000 people visit Green Park to participate or watch the Green Park Royal Berkshire 10k. The sun was shining and the park was at its best to welcome our visitors.
The event was split into three races; the Mini Mile for all ages, the Mini Marathon for those aged 8 and above take on three kilometres, and the Royal Berkshire 10k. There was a great family fun atmosphere around the Race Village, which was home to food and drink vendors, representatives from various charities, massage therapists, a bouncy castle and an ice cream van. Entertainment was provided by Heart FM’s Michelle from the Breakfast Show.
The 10k was started by Chris Carter Keall of Oxford Properties who welcomed all runners to Green Park before setting them off on their way.
Big congratulations to those who took part in all three races; it was a great achievement by all that participated.
