A number of you, who we communicated directly with at the time, were concerned about rising water levels at the Park, and we’re sure many more of you were wondering what would happen if the unprecedented rainfall continued.
The unique landscape at Green Park means that we do have to plan for the incidence of potential natural events, and we have a comprehensive environmental risk procedure in place to ensure that whatever happens, we can react and respond quickly and effectively. As it was, when the lake reached its highest ever point in late February, we had additional resource drafted in to help with sandbags and clean up exercises. And the next stage of the procedure was ready to be activated had the situation worsened.
If you have further questions on what we were doing behind the scenes please let us know, and please rest assured that the protection of your buildings and businesses was, as ever, our primary concern.
