Thursday 20 October saw the annual fundraiser for the charity Wear it Pink. Everyone was invited to add a splash of pink to their outfit, buy beautifully pink cupcakes and guess the number of sweets in the jar.
So how many sweets were in that jar? This year we had 316 pink and red sweets and the winners were:
1st: Marc Selby, Mitie: who won a Christmas tree with pink baubles, kindly donated by Green Park’s landscaping Team Quality & Service Ltd. Winning guess: 319
2nd: Caesar Mensah, who won £30 gift voucher for Zest, kindly donated by Zest in Lime Square. Guess: 320
Joint 3rd: Dagmara Thornton, Berkeley Homes, who won a bottle of pink champagne and box of chocolates, kindly donated by Green Park’s landlord, Mapletree. Guess: 325
Joint 3rd: Markos Stratford, LivePerson, who also won a bottle of pink champagne and box of chocolates, kindly donated by Green Park’s landlord, Mapletree. Guess: 325
Natalie Emmett of SumTotal won the Dressed in Pink competition, donning a pink top, jacket, scarf and even pink nails! Natalie won a Taster Menu for two at L’ortolan, kindly donated by Green Park’s landlord Mapletree.
Quintiles led their own Wear It Pink activities with a sweepstake and cake sale, and raised £213.00.
The children at Green Park Day Nursery were invited to wear pink for the day and donate to the cause. They raised £28.54 and kindly allowed for the children to have their photo taken. To see these and other photos of the day, visit the Green Park Facebook page.
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us to raise funds and awareness for the great work of Wear it Pink. Together, we raised £546.70.
