Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us to raise funds and awareness for the great work of the charity Wear it Pink. On Thursday 22 October, the Green Park Events Team travelled round all four multi lets selling very big (and yummy) cupcakes and also hosting a ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’ competition.
At lunchtime we held a ‘Dress in Pink’ competition where competitors were asked to parade in the atrium of 100 Longwater Avenue. We had a pink bunny, a pink morph, and a pink fairy to name a few.
The winners were:
1st: Rob Jones, PRA Healthcare, who dressed as a gentleman from the 1940s, head to toe in pink and won an Apple iPad, donated by Oxford Properties.
2nd: Jarmila Yu, Intermedia, who donned an extravagant pink outfit and also took on the persona of a lady late for an appointment. Jarmila won a Segway tour of Green Park, donated by Hi5 Events.
3rd: Tommy Lawn, DESSEC, a very pink Pink Panther, winning a Christmas Tree with pink baubles, donated by Landscapers Quality & Service.
So, how many pink sweets can be jammed in to a glass jar? The answer in this case is a massive 648!
Thank you to everyone who took a guess, but those who were the closest were:
1st: David Ebdon, Brittania Pharmaceuticals, who won a gorgeous hamper from Fortnum & Mason, donated by Green Park cleaners, Not Just Cleaning
2nd: Gwen Norcutt, ACL Europe Ltd, who won a £50 voucher for Marks & Spencer, donated by the Green Park Security Team, Incentive Lynx.
3rd: Nikki Hooper, NVIDIA, who won a bottle of pink champagne, donated by Oxford Properties.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated their time and money to this worthy cause.
Together we raised £250.10
A special thank you goes to all the staff and children of Green Park Day Nursery, who all dressed in pink for the day. Photos from the day can be found on the Green Park Facebook page
